Waterford-Tamborine Road & Easterly Street Intersection: September - Late 2022 | Signal Project Roadworks
Dear Canterbury College,
The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads is progressing with upgrades on Waterford–Tamborine Road.
This includes signalising the intersection of Easterly Street at Waterford.
Construction of this signalisation project will soon be underway, and is anticipated to be completed later this year, weather and construction conditions permitting.
Signalising this intersection will improve road safety and improve traffic flow at peak times at this busy intersection.
Please see the attached letter and map for further information.

During today's morning tea break, some Junior School staff raised awareness for women’s mental health through the Liptember Foundation.
They purchased bright-coloured lipsticks and are wearing them today, reminding us all that mental illness is no secret.
In 2022, 1 in 2 women will suffer from some form of mental ill health, which should and can be openly discussed, to find real-world effective solutions.
Please visit this weblink for more information about this very worthy month-long cause. - https://www.liptemberfoundation.org.au

ORIGINAL ANNOUNCEMENT STORY BELOW (29/06/22):
The Musica Viva Australia Strike A Chord National Music Championship Finalists have been announced!
This is the largest competition of its kind and is now in its third year.
The 2022 Championship saw a record number of 119 secondary school ensembles (representing 445 students) from all over Australia, vying for a total prize pool worth over $40,000, comprising of cash and professional development prizes, as well as interstate performance engagements.
Groups submitted a video recording of their performance, from which 12 Finalists were selected nationally.
Among the 12 Finalists chosen to proceed to perform LIVE at the Strike A Chord Grand Final in Melbourne this August, are TWO groups featuring Canterbury College students:
The IncrediBows: A collaborative string quartet between Canterbury students Haydn and George Li, and their childhood friends.
AND
Canterbury’s very own Trio Bellissimo: Starring the incredibly talented Isabella Oxenbridge, and again brothers Haydn Li and George Li.
It’s a remarkable feat that both groups are coached by Canterbury’s Coordinator of Piano and Chamber Music - Mr Tim Li, and they are two of only three groups representing all of Queensland in the Australian Grand Finals.
Mr Li also coached the Amogus Trio who WON this competition last year, so let’s go for two years in a row…
Tickets for the Grand Final in Melbourne on Saturday 27 August are on sale now.
You can also tune in via their FREE livestream.
Ticket sales and livestream registrations can be made through Musica Viva Australia by clicking HERE.
