Last Friday evening, Canterbury Theatre Company's secondary students brought to life 'A Thousand Points From Zero,' an intriguing dystopian script by Steve Pirie that explores technology-driven themes.

This performance was in collaboration with 'The Scene Project' by Queensland Theatre, and provides a fantastic opportunity for professional development, and enriches Canterbury's curriculum for those interested in theatre production.

Our 2023 Secondary Interhouse Swimming Carnival saw our secondary students actively participating in a memorable team-building event, where they could showcase their swimming prowess and House spirit!

With an incredible 119-point lead, Becket House won the day, earning them the coveted 2023 Secondary Interhouse Swimming Carnival Shield!

The Ramsey House Canterbury Mental Health Week Festival also commenced at lunchtime with 'The Great Aussie BBQ' Sausage Sizzle & Lolly Bags Fundraiser at the Canterbury Aquatic Centre.

This was a tasty way for the students to fuel up their energy stores for more afternoon swimming.

Gold Coast Eisteddfod & Redland Youth Chamber Music Festival Results

Canterbury’s Chamber Music School continues to be class-leading on a state and national level, sweeping competition prizes across the board.
This year, some of our students collaborated with external Secondary School students through the UQ Chamber Music Academy - a program directed by Mr Tim Li in his new appointment as an Honorary Lecturer of the University.Together, these Primary and Secondary School ensembles that Mr Li coaches, enjoyed an unprecedented landslide dominance at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod and the inaugural Redland Youth Chamber Music Festival in July and August this year.

For the 3rd year running, the Brett Randall Award for the Most Outstanding Trio/Quartet/Quintet in Eisteddfod has gone to one of Mr Li’s ensembles.

The Secondary School ensembles are performing at such a high level, they are competing and beating tertiary student ensembles in the 20 Years & Under categories.
