Years 10-12 White Card Safety Course | Photos
Today, 19 Canterbury students in Years 10-12 are undertaking their White Card Safety Course.
Having a White Card is a legal requirement for all tradespeople to be able to enter an active job site.
If the students want to do any work experience, or an apprenticeship or traineeship in a building industry trade, then they need this card.
This course covers Workplace Health and Safety around entering and moving around job sites, including wearing the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Just another great day at Canterbury, helping our students become as World Ready as possible.
A big thanks to Blue Dog Training for delivering such an informative and engaging experience for our Secondary Students.

Senior Japanese Excursion: Consulate-General Of Japan | Japanese Supermarket | Traditional Japanese Lunch | J-Pop Karaoke @ Brisbane CBD
Konnichiwa!
Last Friday, our Years 11 and 12 Japanese Language classes enjoyed a fantastic time on our Senior Japanese Excursion.
We visited the Consulate-General of Japan in Brisbane City and learned about future pathways, exchange programs and scholarship opportunities.
It was inspiring to discover the endless possibilities of mastering the Japanese language.
We also had the opportunity to explore a Japanese supermarket, immersing ourselves in a world of authentic products and cultural treasures.
From snacks and drinks to unique ingredients and artefacts, the vibrant Genki Mart gave us a taste of daily life in Japan.
To satisfy our appetites, we enjoyed a traditional Japanese lunch together and savoured the authentic flavours of Japan.
And, of course, we couldn’t miss the chance to experience Japanese pop-culture Karaoke!
We sang our hearts out, unleashing our inner J-pop stars and creating unforgettable memories.
Arigatou Gozaimasu for joining us on this incredible journey!
Let’s continue to embrace the beauty of the Japanese language and culture together...

Years 11 & 12 Hospitality Hotel School Program At Sea World Resort
Our Years 11 and 12 Hospitality students have completed their 2-night, 3-day Hotel School Program at the Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast. ️✅
As part of this experience, students participated in many ‘shifts’, working in various areas and departments of the resort.
This ‘real world’ experience exposes students to the many jobs - besides kitchen and restaurant work, that Hospitality incorporates.
Despite all the fantastic learning, the consensus is that the buffet breakfast was still their favourite part!
