Gold Coast Eisteddfod & Redland Youth Chamber Music Festival Results

Canterbury’s Chamber Music School continues to be class-leading on a state and national level, sweeping competition prizes across the board.
This year, some of our students collaborated with external Secondary School students through the UQ Chamber Music Academy – a program directed by Mr Tim Li in his new appointment as an Honorary Lecturer of the University.Together, these Primary and Secondary School ensembles that Mr Li coaches, enjoyed an unprecedented landslide dominance at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod and the inaugural Redland Youth Chamber Music Festival in July and August this year.

For the 3rd year running, the Brett Randall Award for the Most Outstanding Trio/Quartet/Quintet in Eisteddfod has gone to one of Mr Li’s ensembles.

The Secondary School ensembles are performing at such a high level, they are competing and beating tertiary student ensembles in the 20 Years & Under categories.
