2023 Scholastic Junior School Book Fair | THIS Wed 7 – Mon 12 June @ Secondary School Library - Digital Hub

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

I am excited to announce the Scholastic Junior School Book Fair is back at Canterbury in 2023!

Starting THIS Wednesday 7 June UNTIL Monday 12 June, our primary students will be able to create a wishlist – based on all the great titles available and on display – to purchase these books and educational items.

This year, the Book Fair has relocated from the Junior School Library to the Secondary School Library’s Digital Hub, because of product display space requirements.

The Book Fair will be open beyond normal school hours from 7:30am - 8:15am AND 3:15pm - 4:00pm during these four school days, for wishlist orders, book collections, stationery purchases and processing payments via cash or EFTPOS.

Online ordering is also available this year.

Each Book Fair is designed to give children access to more books they want to read, from relevant new-releases to classic award-winners.

As your children grow, Book Fairs make it easy to ensure their home libraries grow with them.

2023 Winter Music Festival: Heavenly Voices Concert | FULL Photo Gallery

2023 Winter Music Festival: Heavenly Voices Concert | FULL Photo Gallery

Last Friday night, we enjoyed the second concert of our 2023 Winter Music Festival series - Heavenly Voices.

The melodies from our Canterbury Vocal Groups entertained the (almost) full house in our Performing Arts Theatre:

Cantabile Girls Choir - Fly, Singing Bird | I Am Not Yours | Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

Taipan Tenors Boys Choir - Welcome To Wonderland | Until I Found You.

Bella Voce Choir - Ev'ry Time I Feel The Spirit | All Is Found from the Frozen II movie soundtrack | Don't Give Up On Me.

Then moving onto our incredibly talented smaller ensembles and piano soloist, our guests were treated to some dramatic music, which required a high degree of technical expertise across the piano, violin, viola, cello and flute.

This included our Canterbury musical 'maestros' Trio Bellissimo!

Volante Trio - Divertimento in C Hob IV: 1

Isabella Oxenbridge: Piano Soloist - Sarcasms, Op. 17 (ii-v)

Solstice Quartet - La Celosa | Los Tres Golpes

Equinox Quartet - Slicked Back Tango

Trio Bellissimo - Piano Trio in F Sharp minor (ii-iii)

Stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram Accounts to view select recorded performances from this wonderful evening.
