TAS and Co-curricular Sport

Canterbury is a member of The Associated Schools (TAS) sporting competition.

TAS is the leading coeducational sporting competition in South East Queensland, featuring eight highly competitive and enthusiastic co-educational sporting schools from around greater Brisbane.

Matches are played on Saturday mornings across a schedule of locations, with training before or after school during the week at Canterbury.

The seasons are broken into three Trimesters:

In addition to TAS Sport, Canterbury enters teams into major statewide competitions such as Vicki Wilson and QISSN Netball, Qld All Schools Touch, Champion Basketball School of Queensland, Uhlsport Cup Football, Schools Cup Volleyball, South East Queensland Futsal and Nitro Athletics competitions.

Junior School Sport

The motto which underpins all sport in the Junior School is ‘win well, lose well and be gracious’.

Students in Years 4 – 6 have the opportunity to participate in the Junior TAS Competition. Matches are played on Saturday mornings. Training sessions are held both before and after school.

Junior TAS sports are broken into four terms, with both boys and girls being able to play in mixed teams.
