2022 Volleyball Queensland Senior Schools Cup Results: 3 Canterbury Teams

Some excellent volleyball played by Canterbury’s three teams over the weekend, at the 2022 Volleyball Queensland Senior Schools Cup from Friday to Sunday, down at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre and Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre in Carrara. 

We competed in the Year 12 Boys Honours Division, Year 12 Girls Division One, and Year 11 Boys Division Two, amongst around 2,000 other fellow senior students from all over the State. 

Thank you to our coaches Terence, Yurii and Decio for the time they’ve given up to help develop Canterbury Volleyball. 

Year 11 Boys Division Two: Our Years 9-10 Boys competing against Year 11s finished on a win, concluding their competition in 5th place – a great showing by these boys competing against older opponents. 

Year 12 Boys Honours Division: Our Open Honours Boys finished with a dominant win over Capalaba to finish in 7th place – a great experience for our boys proving their worth at the highest level of school volleyball in the State. 

Year 12 Girls Division One (main picture above): Our Open Girls finished with a bronze medal, winning their Division One final in straight sets!
