Years 5 And 6 Boys: Rock & Water Program | Photos
Our Years 5 and 6 boys are currently participating in the Rock & Water Program over four weeks as part of their Wellbeing curriculum.
This program engages the students in physical team-building activities to assist with developing:
- Practical anti-bullying strategies.
- Alternatives to aggressive verbal and physical responses.
- A better ability to stay in control through grounding, centredness and mental focus.
- Increased self-respect, self-control and self-confidence.
- Enhanced resilience skills and wellbeing.
- Skills to identify and monitor reactive behaviour patterns.
The sessions are also aimed to promote:
- Communication skills.
- Development of compassion, understanding and sympathy.
- Boundary setting, simple self-defence and communication skills.
- Awareness of purpose and motivation in life.
- Intuition, mental strength, empathic feeling, positive feeling, thinking and visualising.
This program will support our male students to develop proactive strategies to navigate social situations and friendships, and assist them to be well-positioned for the transition into teenage-hood.
