Dear Parents and Carers,
The NEW Junior School Running Club will be offered to all Year 1 – Year 6 students in Term 1, 2022.
This Running Club is aimed at preparing students for the cross-country season beginning at the end of Term 1 and continuing into Term 2.
It is highly recommended and encouraged that all students who are intending on playing Junior TAS Sport in 2022 attend these running sessions as it provides a base of fitness for all Junior TAS Sports.
Junior School Running Club will be held under the direction of our Head Running Coach, Mrs Brooke King.
Training sessions are listed below and will be scheduled from 7:00am – 8:00am.
It is recommended that students attend a minimum of one session per week.
Students will need to meet outside the Year 4 and 5 classrooms to have their name marked off the roll.
Running Club will start Tuesday 1 February.
Training days and times:
Tuesday, 7:00am – 8:00am – Years 2 – 6 students
Thursday, 7:00am – 8:00am – Years 2 – 6 students
Friday, 7:00am – 8:00am – Years 1 – 6 students (for students NOT playing Junior TAS Sport in Term 1)
For each session students will need to wear either their Canterbury House shirt or Junior TAS training shirt (navy) and full PE uniform.
Students will also need a water bottle for all training sessions.
If your child is planning on attending a session, please follow the rule: If your child feels unwell, have COVID symptoms, or have tested COVID positive – please stay isolated at home until they have fully recovered and/or have tested negative (where and when testing and timely results are possible).
