Junior School Annual Book Week Parade Celebration!: 8:45am – 9:45am, Tuesday 23 August @ CEC

Dear Parents and Carers,

What: Junior School Annual Book Week Parade Celebration!

When: 8:45am – 9:45am, Tuesday 23 August 2022 (Week 7).

Where: Canterbury Events Centre (CEC) – Canterbury College.
– Entry via High Road Junior School Gate with plenty of onsite parking.

Who: All Junior School Students AND Parents & Carers.

It’s that wonderful time again where our Junior School students are encouraged to come to school dressed as a character from a book they have enjoyed reading.

Please don’t feel that you must spend a lot of money or time on costumes, as it is always a light-hearted event.

The overall aim is to foster an enjoyment of reading, and for students to think about the characters in their books.

The theme this year is: Dreaming With Eyes Open.

The event will be held in the CEC and will run from 8:45am to approximately 9:45am.

Parents and carers are MOST welcome to attend!

Students are permitted to wear their costumes to school on the day, and should bring along their reference book, labelled with their name.

We also ask that students bring their PE uniform (or ELC uniform) to school, to change into at the conclusion of the Book Week Characters Parade.

Please contact Anita Pendreigh –  or Brittany Sinclair –  if you have any further questions.

Yours faithfully

Mrs Brittany Sinclair
Assistant Head of Junior School (Wellbeing)
