Student Counselling & Support
Canterbury provides industry leading psychological services to students, their families, and the wider College community.
Canterbury provides a whole school approach to counselling services in order to cater for the complexities associated with modern day schooling. We respond to the needs of our student body through a dedicated pastoral care program that feeds into a comprehensive referral process. Evidence-based psychological interventions are provided on campus to students and their families.
Counselling and Support Services at Canterbury include the following:
- Individual counselling
- Group counselling
- Social skills support groups
- Psycho-education programs
- Mediation
- Conflict resolution and restorative justice practices
- Referral pathways and collaboration with external allied health professionals such as psychiatrists, paediatricians and psychologists.
If you wish to access the Canterbury counselling services, please contact your child’s classroom teacher in the Junior School or their Head of House in the Senior School.
