2024 Canterbury Interhouse Maths Teams Challenge & Pi Day Contest | Recap & Photos

Guess what? It’s Pi Day!

And no – not the food kind…

Pi is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter, and is an irrational number with infinite decimal places – from 3.14159……..

Of course – we all knew that!

So to celebrate, we held our annual Canterbury Interhouse Maths Teams Challenge during today’s lunch break and Assembly. ✖️➕➖➗

This event provided a platform for students selected from each House to participate in mathematical competitions across various age groups and relay events.

Participants showcased their academic ability, logic skills and memory by trying to recite as many pi decimal places as possible, and tackling various ‘degree of difficulty’ mathematical problems.

Stay tuned, as we will announce the challenge’s results and winners shortly!
