Years 11-12 Hospitality RSA: Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate III Course | Event Wrap & Photo Gallery

Today our Certificate III in Hospitality students, along with other Years 11 and 12 students, participated in the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course.

An RSA qualification is a mandatory requirement (by law) for any person wanting to work in a hospitality establishment that serves or sells alcohol.

Completing this all-day course opens up job opportunities for our students to earn money and gain valuable experience in the hospitality, tourism and recreational industries.

Throughout the day, students learn about the negative effects of alcohol and drugs, how to identify signs of intoxication, and the legal obligations and consequences for all stakeholders in the sale and supply of alcohol chain.

They also gain knowledge around refusal of service, and the practical skills of how to safely and effectively execute this potentially difficult task.

Students also wore special RSA goggles that gave them an intoxicated person’s view of the world around them as shown in the photos.
