2025 School Captains
2025 School Captain
Amelia Ryan
Since starting at Canterbury, I have found it to be one of the most unique school communities I have witnessed.
The campus itself provides every student from Junior to Senior School with the opportunity to embrace their passions from Academics, to Sports and The Arts.
Our students are passionate and hardworking towards their goals, with the teachers ready to support us at every step of our learning journey.
For myself personally, many of the activities I have had the privilege of trying here, I probably would have never thought of doing, if I wasn’t attending Canterbury.
As a 2025 School Captain, I am looking forward to working with all our students from Prep to Year 12, in creating a stronger Canterbury Community through our theme of ‘Be The Voice’.
This excites me, as I love being able to listen to what people’s hopes are for their education, and finding new and creative ways to bring their vision into action.
I am hoping by the end of my time as School Captain, that I will be leaving a community who feels prepared and confident in their leadership and service skills, and that I fostered a deeper connection between the Junior and Senior Schools.
I hope to make every student feel they have the ability to make a positive difference in their community – big or small.

As School Captain, I’m looking forward to being a voice for the student body and helping create opportunities for all students to grow and succeed.
Whether it’s supporting our school events, advocating for student ideas, or simply being there to listen, I want to ensure everyone feels heard and valued.
Our school is a vibrant, inclusive and supportive place where students are encouraged to push boundaries and explore their potential.
The staff and campus itself reflect this spirit.
