Julie-Ann Gaske Farewell Celebration | Our Junior School Teacher (1998 – 2024) = 27 Years!

A slightly different #ThrowBackThursday #TBT today with a current ‘historical’ figure – meant with all due respect!

At Wednesday lunchtime, we marked the bittersweet farewell for one of our favourite long-time teachers Mrs Julie-Ann Gaske, in our Canterbury Functions Centre.

For 27 years, Julie has been a dedicated and inspiring educator, who’s been passionately teaching and shaping young minds in our Canterbury Junior School since 1998!

Our always beautifully dressed and colourful scarf-loving teacher has taught across many primary year level cohorts over her busy career.

Senior College Executives and Junior School staff attended Julie-Ann’s official farewell to say their goodbyes, and celebrate the significant impact she has made here at Canterbury for well over two decades.

When Julie-Ann commenced here in 1998, our Australian Prime Minister was John Howard, the top-rated movies were Titanic and Saving Private Ryan, and the best-selling song was ‘The Cup Of Life’ by Latino popstar Ricky Martin for that year’s FIFA World Cup.

How time flies… Wishing you all the best from everyone here at Canterbury College!
