2024 Strike A Chord National Chamber Music Grand Finals | Event Wrap, Performance Video & Photos – ‘Take Six’ Sextet

Last weekend, Canterbury College students Haydn Li and George Li travelled to Melbourne with their String Sextet ‘Take Six’ to compete in the Grand Finals of the 2024 Strike A Chord National Chamber Music Competition.

‘Take Six’ was one of the 12 finalists to be selected from 155 ensembles (617 students) throughout Australia, and one of the only three ensembles selected from Queensland, to travel to Melbourne to perform live in the Elisabeth Murdoch Hall at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

They gave an electrifying performance of the Finale from Tchaikovsky’s ‘Souvenir de Florence’ and brought the house down.

‘Take Six’ won 2nd Prize nationally and took home $4,000 prize money.

Congratulations to the Li brothers!
