URGENT! BUS ROUTE CHANGES: Logan Coaches Bus Routes No. 29 AM & 29 PM

Dear Parents, Carers & Students,

Some slight changes have been made to the Logan Coaches Bus Routes No. 29 AM & 29 PM.

These changes will take effect from & including TODAY Wednesday 28 July 2021.

If either of these routes relate to your children, please check the details on the attached revised Bus Master Timetable 28 July 2021, and make sure your children are fully aware of all changes to pick up times from the College and any route adjustments.

We had a great weekend competing at West Moreton Anglican College for Round 2 of The Associated Schools Sport, with 23 wins from 33 matches across boys basketball 🏀, boys football (soccer) ⚽️, girls touch football 🏉 and girls volleyball 🏐.

Our Junior TAS teams had 7 wins from 10 matches across basketball 🏀 and football (soccer) ⚽️.

2 overall wins from 2 TAS rounds 🏆.

Some slight changes have been made to the Clarks Bus Services Routes No. 4458 PM and 4487 PM.

Important: Please note the Route No. 4487 collection point will now be from the Bus Bays along Old Logan Village Road instead of the current pick up location.

Logan City Council 'LEAF's Us Feeling Greener

Canterbury College is honoured to have been awarded an Educational EnviroGrant from Logan City Council at the Logan Eco Action Festival (LEAF) on 23 May 2021.

This grant will allow us to grow our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden by adding elements such as a Bush Tucker garden and fruit trees later this year.

We cannot wait to educate our students and the wider community about pleasurable and sustainable food education through our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden.

In the spirit of sustainability education, we will be hosting a special event: ‘I Beg Your Garden’ Canterbury Kitchen Garden Capers: An Afternoon Adventure In Our Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden happening NEXT Tuesday afternoon 15 June 2021.

New Canterbury App: IMPORTANT (GOOD) Changes

At Canterbury we are always trying to simplify and streamline our communications with you - so you only get what you want, when you need it, both quickly and easily.

That is why we have now upgraded our open public Canterbury App to sync with our inhouse MyCC.

The new version Canterbury App is ready to download from the App Store or Google Play today.

Existing Canterbury App users simply need to update their version via the App Store or Google Play as well.

IMPORTANT: You will now need your parent username () and password to sign into this app to access college information.

These will be emailed to you directly for safekeeping.

Please contact our IT Dept via our main college phone number 07 3299 0888 with some form of user ID to retrieve your parent username and/or password, if you lose or forget them in the future.

The Resilience Project is designed to teach positive mental health strategies to enable people to become more happy…

The Resilience Project encourages students to show resilience by building empathy, gratitude, mindfulness and emotional literacy.

Parents will be introduced to these four pillars of resilience and given strategies on how to use these pillars to encourage social and emotional regulation at home.

The session will be presented by Hugh van Cuylenberg, who studied resilience and wellbeing at a postgraduate level.

Hugh is the founder of The Resilience Project and has worked with over 500 schools Australia wide.

As a published author, Hugh will share his own story of resilience, and explain to parents how our College is implementing The Resilience Project to build positive mental health outcomes.
