The level of competition and number of entries was incredible this year, and the organisers found it extremely difficult to narrow it down to just four nominees in each of the 12 talent categories:

Best Vocal, Best Drummer, Best Bass Player, Best Guitarist, Best Keys Player, Best Cover Song, Best Original Song, Song of the Year, Futures Award, Best Junior Band, Best Solo/Duo, Best Senior Band.

Finally, well done to Mr Simon Lane, Canterbury’s Rock School Coordinator for all his hard work behind the scenes, driving our participation and performance in this Australia-wide RockFest competition.

Rock on people!!

- And what Anglicare’s mission and values are: Love, Care, Hope & Humility - amongst many other things…

Anglicare is referred to as the caring arm of the Anglican Church for good reason! 🥰

Charlotte Caslick OAM is an Australian professional Rugby Union, Sevens Rugby, Touch Football and Rugby League player who’s represented Australia at two Summer Olympic Games - the 2016 Rio Olympics and 2020 (2021) Tokyo Olympics in Sevens Rugby.

Her team won gold at the 2016 Rio Games and finished fifth at the most recent Tokyo Games.

She was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for service to the sport in the 2017 Australia Day Honours list, and was named World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year and Female Sevens Player of the Year in 2016.

Not long after graduating from high school, she debuted for Australian Women’s Rugby, representing her country at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and 2013 Rugby Sevens World Cup, as well as playing for Touch Football Australia at both age-grade and open levels.

She was named in World Rugby's 2014–15 Team of the Season after another stellar year, and one of four players nominated for the 2015 World Sevens Player of the Year.

Charlotte was also voted Player of the Tournament in the Australian Nationals.

By December 2015, she’d already earned 13 caps and scored 31 tries over that two-year period.

In October 2016, Caslick was named as Australia's Women’s Sevens Player of the Year.

The Brisbane-born (Corinda) Charlotte also played for the Sydney Roosters in the 2020 NRL Women's Premiership before two small spinal fractures ended her season prematurely during her second match playing at five-eighth.

Caslick has been described as "the best women's rugby sevens player on the planet" and "a key member of the Australian Women’s Rugby Sevens team" AND was 'Coach for a Day' here at Canterbury College where we caught up for a chat!
