Last week, our Years 9 and 10 Girls and Boys Basketball teams participated in the Molten Champion Basketball School of Queensland Junior Secondary Competition held at the Coomera Indoor Sports Centre and Runaway Bay Indoor Sports Centre.

Here is a summary of their results from the four-day tournament:

Girls Basketball

After last year’s success placing Second in Division 2, our girls were elevated to Division 1.

The team was allocated into a tough pool with the powerhouse basketball schools – Brisbane SHS, Marsden SHS and John Paul College.

Despite this huge challenge, our girls held their own and played tremendously throughout the entire competition, finishing 11th overall.

It was a great learning experience for the team, which they will look to improve in future years.

Our boys team finished 14th overall.
