All registrations for non-auditioned 2025 Dance Ensembles for students in Years 1-12 next year will OPEN from 8am Friday 1 November via Clipboard.

We advise getting in quickly as places will fill fast!

Please find below information that outlines all our Canterbury Dance opportunities for 2025 including costs and dance uniform requirements.

Once registered, you will find the uniform ordering details in Parent Lounge.

Please Note: Dance uniforms, jazz shoes and stockings orders for 2025 will open on Friday 1 November 2024 and close on Monday 11 November 2024.

Please also note that Little Groovers for Prep and the ELC will open in January.

DANCE ENSEMBLES INFORMATION FOR YEARS 1-12

Rise Dance Class (Years 1-2) | Rise Dance MyCC Homepage

Rise Dance Class provides an opportunity for students in Years 1-2 to participate in dancing for enjoyment.

The goal of this team is to develop musicality, coordination, confidence and stage presence while learning skills in the jazz dance style.

Students will perform at school events throughout the year.

Flame Dance Class (Years 3-6) | Flame Dance MyCC Homepage

Flame Dance Class provides an opportunity for students in Years 3-6 to participate in dancing for enjoyment.

The goal of this team is to develop musicality, coordination, confidence and stage presence while learning skills in the jazz dance style.

Students will perform at school events throughout the year.

BoyZone: Male Dancers (Years 3-6) | BoyZone MyCC Homepage

BoyZone is dedicated to the enjoyment of dance by teaching choreography in a safe and supportive environment.

We welcome boys of all experience levels in Years 3-6 into this enjoyable ensemble.

Canterbury Dance Troupe (Years 7-12) | Canterbury Dance Troupe MyCC Homepage

This non-competitive team is dedicated to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for students eager to embrace the art of movement and dance.

Exploring choreography, jazz and contemporary dance styles, this dance ensemble offers a perfect opportunity for students to explore the skills of creating and performing dance in a nurturing atmosphere.

Hip Hop Squad (Years 7-12) | Hip Hop Squad MyCC Homepage

This dance team provides an avenue for students to learn and perform Hip Hop with the College in a non-competitive environment.

The team goal is to develop technical and expressive skills in this modern dance style.

Students will perform at the annual Canterbury Dance Spectacular.

Southern Federation of Dance Technique Class (Years 4-12) | SFD Technique MyCC Homepage

Southern Federation of Dance is a not-for-profit organisation committed to developing excellence in dance and dance education, providing progressive syllabus and inclusive examination opportunities.

In this class, students study the SFD Jazz Syllabus.

This ensemble focuses on movement created specifically for boys to enhance coordination, gross motor skills, musicality, confidence, teamwork and self-expression.
