Week 3 Senior School Assembly | Trimester One Firsts Teams, Senior School Service Initiatives, 2025 Co-Curricular Theme and New Music Ensemble

On Thursday 13 February, Years 7-12 students gathered in the CEC for our Trimester One Firsts Teams Uniform Presentation and Senior School Assembly.

College Chaplain Father Dan blessed the sporting uniforms, instilling our College values of integrity, respect, gratitude and effort, as our athletes represent Canterbury with pride and sportsmanship.

This tradition honours our College athletes who compete at the highest level in their respective The Associated Schools Sport.

Beyond this public recognition, the Assembly highlighted the many ways students can give back through service initiatives.

Canterbury’s new Sustainability Club, which is championing our ongoing Containers For Change recycling initiative, invited all Senior School students to participate, meeting up every Friday lunch break in-term at the Kitchen Garden.

Joining these on-campus programs supports important causes and earns students service hours and points for their service logs.

This year, we are embracing the theme ‘Positivity with Purpose’, encouraging students to lead, support one another, and apply this mindset in all areas of life.

Finally, Year 12 Performing Arts Captain Haydn Li announced an exciting addition to our Chamber Music School – the Canterbury Septet, a newly formed ensemble featuring strings and keyboard.
