2024 Young Business Leaders Program | Halfway Update

The Young Business Leaders Program is now halfway through its 8-week course.

This co-curricular activity has been running throughout Term 2 on Wednesday afternoons after school in N Block.

This specialised entrepreneurial education compels students to formulate ideas and think critically, while also gaining valuable real-world commercial experience.

After a month of foundational business learning and initial project development, students are now focusing on the final stages of ideation, design, development, marketing and budgeting.

It’s exciting to see some students returning for their second year in this course, to further develop their own small business products or services from 2023.

The program will culminate in a special Breakfast Showcase event on Thursday 13 June, where the students will present their entrepreneurial business to the wider Canterbury Community.

The Young Business Leaders Program is organised by BOP Industries with the support of event partner the Beenleigh Yatala Junior Chamber of Commerce and event sponsors Bendigo Bank, Quota Beenleigh Inc, Rotary Club of Beenleigh, Logan City Council, Logan Office of Economic Development and new Logan Mayor Jon Raven.

We look forward to seeing these enthusiastic young entrepreneurs at their Breakfast Showcase in a few weeks’ time with businesses including: baked goods, handballs, cleaning attachments, community bracelets and more.
