9:40am: Canterbury Taipans vs St Peters Lutheran College – WIN

11:20am: Canterbury Taipans vs The Cathedral College – WIN

1pm: Canterbury Taipans vs Xavier Catholic College – WIN

2:40pm: BYE

Qualified top place undefeated heading into the Shield Finals.

Vicki Wilson Cup Championship: Years 10-12

Our Taipans finished 12th last year and now chasing a Top 8 Cup finish.

8am: Canterbury Taipans vs Moreton Bay College (Reigning Champions) – WIN

9:40am: Canterbury Taipans vs Rockhampton Grammar School – WIN

11:20am: BYE

1pm: Canterbury Taipans vs Southport State High School – LOSS

2:40pm: Canterbury Taipans vs Shalom College – WIN

Qualified second place heading into the Cup Finals.

So our Shield AND Cup teams BOTH went through to the Quarter Finals on Friday morning. #Top8

Shield Q/F 8:50am: Canterbury Taipans vs Lourdes Hill College – WIN

Cup Q/F 8:50am: Canterbury Taipans vs Mountain Creek State High School – WIN

So our Shield AND Cup teams BOTH progressed to the Semi Finals at Friday lunchtime. #Top4

Shield S/F 12:10pm: Canterbury Taipans vs Matthew Flinders Anglican College – WIN

Cup S/F 12:10pm: Canterbury Taipans vs Southport State High School – LOSS

So our Shield team moved onto their third straight Grand Final while our Cup team played off for Bronze.

Shield Grand Final 3:30pm: Canterbury Taipans vs St John Fisher College – WIN 43-29! THREE-PEAT PREMIERS! 2019-2020-2021

Cup Bronze Playoff 3:30pm: Canterbury Taipans vs St Peters Lutheran College – NARROW LOSS 32-35 / BUT SOARED FROM 12th (2020) TO 4th (2021) IN JUST ONE YEAR!  

So overall, Canterbury’s BEST State Championships finish ever!
