Prep Incursion | Fairy Tales and Puppetry

Today, our Prep students attended a performance by Meerkat Productions titled Good Things Come in Threes. The show brought to life three classic stories: The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and The Three Little Pigs, using a mix of Marionettes, Shadow Puppets, and Hand Puppets.

Each storytelling method offered a fresh perspective, keeping students engaged while introducing them to different performance styles. They were especially intrigued by the detailed Marionettes, the use of light and shadow, and the expressive hand-crafted characters.

All puppets were made from recycled materials, sparking thoughtful conversations about sustainability and creative reuse.

Good Things Come in Threes was a valuable and enjoyable experience that encouraged curiosity and imaginative thinking.
