Years 11 & 12 Formal Etiquette Lessons | Photo Gallery
Over the past few weeks, our Years 11 and 12 students have engaged in fine dining and etiquette lessons during their Wellbeing classes.
This experience saw our students sit down to dine in a restaurant, as our Hospitality students and their teachers served them.
While they shared a meal, Mrs Lainey Loneragan - the Managing Director of Etiquette & Manners Australia, taught them the nuances of social etiquette in formal dining.
How to correctly use their cutlery, how to know which glass to use, which bread roll to take, and how to manage themselves in a fine-dining setting are all included.
Our students also learned the etiquette of introductions, handshakes and dressing for each occasion.
Our Year 12s will put this learning into action at their upcoming Senior Formal, and we hope that our Year 11s will also embrace these skills at various events in the future.
This social knowledge will hold them in good stead as they head into the world.

Our Year 6 Cohort | Getting Ready For Clean Up Australia Day!
This year Clean Up Australia Day takes place THIS Sunday 5 March, so our Year 6 students decided to do a clean sweep around the Junior School Campus this afternoon, collecting rubbish from the gardens.
Thank you to our environment-loving Eco Warriors, Year 6 Junior School Leaders and Year 6 cohort, for discussing the importance of caring for our environment, and encouraging others to take action with them.

Secondary Assembly Flash Mob | Video
Secondary Assembly Flash Mob | Video
At yesterday's Secondary Assembly, an important message was conveyed by a very impromptu and unexpected Flash Mob. 💃🏽🙌
🎵🎶 'Try Everything' by Shakira echoed loudly as students throughout Secondary School started to stand up and dance.
Mr Blackmore was definitely 'Trying Everything' not to seem as surprised as the rest of the crowd - Oscar-worthy. 🎭😂
Check out the video on our Facebook page HERE.

Does your school blazer pocket look like this? If not, read on...
Dear Parents, Carers & Students,
Canterbury College is standardising its blazer pocket to one central design, so is offering ALL 2023 students in Years 7-11, FREE replacement of their existing blazer pocket if required.
There are currently three different blazer pocket designs in circulation, and we are hoping to standardise them all down to just one, in time for Term 2, 2023.
So... we ask ALL Years 7-11 students to check if their blazer pocket matches the featured image shown here - with the College Crest and silver writing.
IF NOT, please bring your blazer into our campus Uniform Shop BEFORE FRIDAY 10 MARCH 2023, to take advantage of this FREE changeover offer.
This includes any blazers that are brought in for secondhand sales, or blazer pockets with line awards.
Please ensure ALL blazers are clearly and fully named for easy return to their rightful owners.
For any enquiries, please contact Ms Sandra Allen in our campus Uniform Shop.
Thank you!
