Our 2023 Winter Music Festival concluded on Tuesday night with the fifth and final Kaleidoscope Concert.

Years 11 & 12 Hospitality Hotel School Program At Sea World Resort
Our Years 11 and 12 Hospitality students have completed their 2-night, 3-day Hotel School Program at the Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast. ️✅
As part of this experience, students participated in many ‘shifts’, working in various areas and departments of the resort.
This ‘real world’ experience exposes students to the many jobs - besides kitchen and restaurant work, that Hospitality incorporates.
Despite all the fantastic learning, the consensus is that the buffet breakfast was still their favourite part!

Today, our Years 5-6 students proudly showed off the results of all their hard work, after two terms of special Spark Elective classes at their Spark Learning Expo.
Following a semester of inquiry-based learning, they excitedly presented their projects and business ideas to their peers, parents, carers and general members of our Canterbury community.
The Spark subjects that our students covered this semester were - $20 Boss, 3D Movie Animation, Aquatic Biology, Arts Renewal: Bookbinding & Decorating, Critical & Creative Thinking, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Green Thumbs: Gardening & Plant Propagation, The Magic Of Movement, Mission To Mars, Pottery With A Purpose and Structural Engineering: Building Bridges.

Last week's Friday Night Rocks concert really 'warmed things up' for our 200-strong audience enjoying the Winter Music Festival!

Friday Night Rocks featured various Rock School Bands, AGB: the All Girls Band, Junior Guitar Ensembles and Guitar Ensembles.

2022-23 Swimming Brisbane Awards: Congratulations Riley Burton!
2022-23 Swimming Brisbane Awards: Congratulations Riley Burton!
He was awarded the trophy and $1,000 prize money.
This award is open to all Swimming Clubs across the Greater Brisbane region, from eight-years-old to the Open age categories.
Not many swimmers receive this award and last year's winner is now competing at the World Championships.
Riley currently swims at the representative level for Brisbane and will be going for Queensland rep level soon.
His swimming club - the Logan Vikings - also held their club awards night last Saturday and Riley took home two more awards.
Riley was awarded the Dean Pugh Memorial Champion Athlete and Brisbane Swimming Award.
The Dean Pugh Memorial Champion Athlete Award is presented to the athlete with the most number of FINA points.
The Brisbane Swimming Award is presented to the athlete with the most Swimming Brisbane points - with Riley earning 54 points.
Congratulations and all the best to Riley!

On Friday, our Canterbury Events Centre's atmosphere was filled with multi-coloured strobe lights, energetic music, and cheerful vibes for our exciting Years 3-6 Junior School Disco.

Today's Under Eights Day was full of fun activities to celebrate this year's theme: Play – You, Me & Our Communities.
We had our local Fire and Police services sharing some valuable information for our students.
Old MacDonald's Farm brought cuteness overload with a petting zoo.
There were also dress-ups, face painting, storytime, an obstacle course, constructing recyclables, crafts, and much more to keep everyone entertained. ️
Our students were also thrilled to watch a circus performance in our CEC with talented performers showcasing astonishing stunts and amazing the audience. ️
Wrapping up their exciting day was a good ol' fashioned disco, where our Prep to Year 2 students danced the school day away with the Macarena, rock-style air guitar and a long line of limbo.
