2024 Harmony Day | Thursday 21 March: Senior School Students Harmony Message Wall

Today we celebrated Harmony Day, a day dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity, promoting inclusiveness, and fostering a sense of belonging among all Australians, regardless of their cultural or linguistic backgrounds.

This year, our Senior School students had the opportunity to share what they love about their culture, by reflecting on what makes their culture special.

Through conversations in Form Class, students wrote the thing they love most to add to our Harmony Day Wall.

Across our diverse community, common trends were seen in students’ responses around food, community, clothing and relationships.

We are blessed to have such a diverse community here at Canterbury College, and although we celebrate this in different ways each day, today was a great opportunity to pause and reflect on how special our community is.
