2023 Canterbury Junior School Speech Day | Event Summary & Photo Gallery
Yesterday we celebrated our 2023 Junior School Speech Day at Canterbury College – our major annual awards ceremony, where we acknowledge the remarkable accomplishments of our students in Years 3 to 6.
During this important event, we had the pleasure of presenting awards for Academic Excellence and Outstanding Approach To Learning; distributing red, silver and gold badges for co-curricular levels of participation, and bestowing Junior School’s Major Awards.
These major awards included The Caring For Country Awards, Junior School Arts Person Of The Year, Junior Sportsperson Of The Year, Junior Sportsmanship Award, The Beenleigh Rotary All-Rounder, Fortior Quo Paratior Award, Spirit Of Canterbury Awards, and the ultimate Junior School honour – the 2023 Dux Of The Junior School.
The recipient of this prestigious final award is a student who has shown unwavering dedication to learning, achieving outstanding academic results, and surpassing expectations in all subjects studied in Year 6.
Not only a stellar academic performer, this particular student is also a respectful school citizen, who has represented the school superbly on the sporting field, in an arts ensemble, and as a vital member of the Lumina academic program.
This student was also honoured with First in English, Academic Excellence, and The Beenleigh Rotary All-Rounder awards.
So it brought us great pleasure to announce the 2023 Dux Of The Junior School was none other than our Junior School Captain Coda Lahrs!
Congratulations to all our award winners, and well done to all our Junior School students for (almost) completing another busy year.
