Year 4 Carrot Cake Production Event Wrap + Video + Photo Gallery + CAKE RECIPE!

Last term, our ELC – Year 4 students harvested over 8,000 carrots from our Canterbury Kitchen Garden and Early Learning Centre Garden.

Today some of those carrots were used to make carrot cakes – with our recipe attached!

Working in groups of 2-4, our Year 4 classes followed the recipe, and each class made 16 delicious carrot cakes.‍‍

After 40 minutes in the oven, the cakes were ready and our young students enjoyed the fruits of their labour.

Our students even shared their carrot cakes with a Year 2 class and got to take any leftovers home!
