Year 7 Timetable Release | By 12:00pm Midday THIS Monday 22 January
Dear Parents and Carers,
I trust you enjoyed a wonderful festive season, filled with joy and meaningful moments spent with family and friends.
To those among you who faced challenges during the severe storms over Christmas, my heartfelt wishes go out to you – especially as you navigate through the cleanup and repair process.
We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of our Year 7 students THIS Monday for their final Orientation Day, marking a significant step as they officially join the Canterbury College Senior School.
I understand that both you and your son or daughter may be looking forward to, and perhaps feeling a bit nervous, about this milestone.
Rest assured, they will return home invigorated, eager to share stories about their initial experiences in our high school.
Earlier this week, timetables and class lists were made available here through MyCC.
Crafting these schedules is an intricate process, requiring careful consideration of logistical, educational, and organisational factors.
These factors encompass resource allocation, the availability of subject specialists, and the delicate balance of class size and composition, among others.
For Years 8-12, this process is now complete.
However, Year 7 classes demand additional time and attention to ensure that the composition – taking into account factors such as gender, skill sets, new families, and existing Canterbury families – creates an optimal environment for effective learning.
Our new enrolments have just been finalised and we will conclude the class lists and timetables by 12:00pm midday THIS Monday 22 January.
If you have already had the chance to view your child’s timetable, I recommend reviewing it on Monday afternoon for any potential updates.
