The Sudsy Challenge: Day 1 Of 3 | Junior School BBQ Fundraiser Event Wrap & Photo Gallery
During Tuesday’s lunch break, Kime House hosted a Junior School BBQ Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser on The Green to support Orange Sky Australia.
And today (Wednesday) officially kicks off Orange Sky’s annual The Sudsy Challenge, with Canterbury students and staff trading uniforms for bright orange Sudsy clothes.
For the next three days, participants will keep their orange gear on to spark conversations, raise awareness and fundraise for those facing the hardships of homelessness.
Named after the first laundry van ‘Sudsy’ – built by Orange Sky co-founders Nic and Lucas right here in Brisbane – this three-day challenge mirrors the three days and three sets of washing machines and dryers it took to get Sudsy up and running.
This Thursday afternoon, all Prep to Year 12 students will come together for a special End Of Term Chapel Service and a Kime House Student-Led Assembly.
This Assembly will feature Orange Sky Co-Founder and 2016 Young Australian of the Year Nic Marchesi OAM, who will inspire us with ‘all things’ The Sudsy Challenge.
