Student Parliament in Action: A Push for Wellbeing

The Push-Up Challenge was brought to our school by Year 11 student Aoibhe Kerrigan, who proposed the idea to Student Parliament and gained full support from her peers.

She and Cooper McIntyre then trained as 2025 Push-Up Challenge Ambassadors, leading wellbeing workshops with the Year 11 cohort.

Aoibhe and Cooper, along with Kiya Watkins-Rameka, Lucas Noy, Harrison Cato, Cooper Carey, and Destinee Pickvance-Yee, ran an informative session to raise awareness about mental health and the purpose behind the Push-Up Challenge.

They wrapped up with fun, high-energy House competitions and games.

A highlight was the full support from the Year 11 cohort in running a Junior School session – with a fantastic response.

Our older students joined in push-ups and dance games with the youngest students, showing leadership, joy, and energy across campus.

Congratulations Aoibhe and Cooper, and well done to all involved!
