Second Principal Reverend Paul Bland Catches Up With Canterbury College

Canterbury College was extremely pleased to welcome back its second ever College Principal Reverend Paul Bland (1995 – 2002) on campus, for a special lunch with current fifth Principal Mr Dan Walker (2019 – ), and some of our longest serving staff members, who were around during Reverend Bland’s tenure here.

Lunch guests included Laurie Maetam, Elaine Dobeli, Lisa Dinsdale, Nick Gillin, Glen Walker, plus current Deputy Principal Meagan King and College Chaplain Father Dan Talbot.

After lunch, Reverend Bland was taken on a campus tour – with some buildings very familiar to him, alongside quite a lot of new developments – like Care Central and our Aquatic & Tennis Centre, since he retired from Canterbury in 2002.

We certainly were honoured hosts today and Reverend Bland was clearly impressed by how much the school has grown over the years…
