MUST READ: Major Campus Construction Zone Changes | September School Holidays: OSHC – Vacation Care & Early Learning Centre
New C Block Construction: Phase One
We are very excited to share with our Canterbury OSHC and ELC families, that we have received final approval to begin the first phase of our campus Master Plan.
This is the construction of our wonderful new C Block building, that will house our Year 1 and Year 2 fully modern classrooms, and the Junior School undercover area.
However, these major building works have forced changes to the way students, parents, carers and staff will access our Junior School campus, over the next 10 months.
We have begun preparations for this to occur, and you may have noticed some changes already, with the new section of the Junior School High Road carpark integral to these plans.
There will be times where access to various parts of the Junior School campus will change, based on the current phase of the building program, but we will keep all stakeholders fully informed.
Below is information relating to the first phase, which is Week One of these upcoming September School Holidays, where OSHC and the ELC will be affected first.
OSHC Changes From THIS Monday 18 September
For the entire September School Holidays – Monday 18 September to Friday 29 September – OSHC will operate from F Block, which is opposite the College Canteen and Yalburru Community Café, as shown on the map below.
Parents and carers will need to park in the Junior School carpark on High Road, then walk along the internal road past the Canteen and Café to F Block.
OSHC sign-in will be located at the front of the building where clearly visible.
ELC Changes From THIS Monday 18 September
There is minimal impact to our Early Learning Centre during the first week of the September holidays.
Temporary fencing will be placed along the boundary between the ELC and Junior School Meadow, starting at the rear of the ELC and finishing at the stairs.
There will no longer be access to the ELC via the staircase from the High Road carpark.
Preferred ELC access during this holiday period is via the Easterly Street carpark, then along the footpaths in front of the B Block classrooms.
Please Note: There will be limited parking on the Easterly Street side of the ELC.
Further information will be shared next week, as changes occur to the way the College community accesses the Junior School campus.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding in advance, and thank you for your support, as we move through this major construction phase of the exciting new Junior School campus over the next 10 months.
