Moana Pasifika Rugby Union Team: College Visit | Event Wrap, Highlights Video & Photo Gallery
On Monday 17 February, the extremely popular Moana Pasifika professional rugby union squad, spent the day training here at Canterbury College – making full use of our campus gym, playing fields, and other sporting facilities.
The team was busily preparing for their big upcoming clash against the Queensland Reds this Friday evening at Suncorp Stadium.
During the lunch break, our Senior School students had the pleasure of meeting some of the players, getting some autographs, and even shooting some hoops!
Moana Pasifika is a professional rugby union team made up of players from various Pacific Island nations, as well as New Zealand or Australian-born players of Pasifika heritage – including Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and the Cook Islands who play in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.
A BIG ‘Thank You’ to Moana Pasifika for spending their day with us here at Canterbury.
We wish them the best in their upcoming clash against the Queensland Reds.
