Canterbury Taipans Swimming Club Nights

Our Canterbury Taipans Swimming Club Nights will run every Thursday evening during our Summer swimming season.

This starts at the beginning of Term 4, then rolls across Term 1 of the following school year.

Club Nights are open to anyone aged 5 years & over.

Race distances are 25 metres for 8 years & under swimmers and 50 metres for 9 years & over swimmers.

Participants are grouped into three race categories: 5-8 years old, 9-11 years old, and 12 years old & over.

These swimming races begin from 4:30pm, so we encourage all nominees to arrive by 4:00pm to check-in and prepare for the evening ahead.

Nominations to race at these Club Nights can be made through Swim Central.

Swimmers aged 8 years & under who wish to race at our Club Nights, will need to register for a Swimmer 8&U Membership through Swim Central.

All other swimmers aged 9 years & over can attend our Club Nights with a valid Competitive OR Recreational Swimmer 9&O Membership purchased through Swim Central.

If you would like to give our Canterbury Taipans Swimming Club a try out, we have a FREE 4-Week Come N Try Swimmer Membership available.

Our Club Nominated Preferred Swim Meets

Throughout the year, the Canterbury Taipans Swimming Club will nominate preferred external swim meets as a focus for our Club to attend.

These events are selected with the intention of helping our Club Members gain race experience, achieve Personal Best times (PBs), and set qualifying times that build towards major championship competitions.
