Canterbury Students Selected for Prestigious AHEP 2025 Program

We are proud to announce that five of Canterbury’s outstanding young musicians have been selected to take part in the 2025 Australian Honours Ensemble Program (AHEP), hosted by the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University.

AHEP is an elite extension of the State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP), designed for exceptional student musicians from across Australia. Entry into AHEP is by audition only, with 695 students applying this year for the chance to perform and learn alongside the nation’s best during the intensive four-day program held in the September/October school holidays.

Congratulations to the following Canterbury students on their successful selection:

  • Lyvea Boulton (Year 8) – Violin
  • Susie Kim (Year 12) – Viola
  • Lily Wong (Year 10) – Violin
  • Ernest Yuen (Year 10) – Viola
  • Travis Yuen (Year 8) – Viola

This achievement reflects not only their individual talent and dedication but also the strength of Canterbury’s music program and the invaluable support from our instrumental and classroom music teachers.

We thank the Queensland Conservatorium for this incredible opportunity and look forward to seeing our students represent Canterbury with excellence.
