Bond University Leadership Scholarship Recipient – Congratulations Gemma King! 👏

Vice-Captain Competition for Goldsworthy House and Year 12 student (and almost graduate!) Gemma King, has received a brilliant scholarship, as well as an early offer to study a Bachelor of Laws at Bond University.

She has just received the prestigious Bond University Leadership Scholarship which will subsidise Gemma’s tertiary tuition fees.

Gemma demonstrated wonderful leadership qualities while at Canterbury College, helping lead Goldsworthy House.

She especially excelled at school sports like Athletics, playing for our Firsts Touch women’s team and Rugby Sevens, and also AFL – where she even trained with the Gold Coast Suns junior women’s squad.

But it’s not only sport…

Gemma’s artistic portrayals of legendary Australian bushranger Ned Kelly’s iconic helmet in chicken wire, bark and scrap metal also featured in the Logan Art Gallery’s 2021 Artwaves exhibition.

Congratulations Gemma! We wish you all the very best studying Law at Bond University… 🥳👏
