***COLLEGE PARENTS & CARERS IMPORTANT REQUEST***
We kindly request parents, carers and relatives to support this event by cooking and providing bulk quantities of their traditional cultural dishes to sell at this event.
We have around 950 Years 5-12 students enrolled on campus, plus their 90-100 teachers and admin staff, plus visiting parents, carers and relatives.
Now we are obviously NOT asking people to cook 1,050 meals (!!) but this is the total potential guest number to be fed between all the various cuisines.
So let's say 10-12 different cuisines x 100 meals each OR 10-12 different cuisines x 2 traditional dishes x 40-50 of each dish... something manageable like that...
Obviously the more parents and cuisines and dishes - the less cooking quantities for everybody!
And please keep your recipe ingredients grocery shopping receipts for full reimbursement by the College.
COMPULSORY FOOD & DRINK SUPPLIERS FORM PLEASE: United Nations Day Festival: Your Food & Beverages Basic Information.

2023 Term 2 APS Sumo Robotics Competition: Well Done To Our Junior School Sumo Roboneers!
2023 Term 2 APS Sumo Robotics Competition: Well Done To Our Junior School Sumo Roboneers!
On Wednesday, our Junior School Sumo Roboneers competed in the Term 2 APS Sumo Robotics Competition down at St Stephen's College at Coomera on the Gold Coast.
This South Eastern League is undoubtedly growing, with 34 teams and over 100 students competing!
Anticipation, excitement and nerves filled the room as teams battled for a place in the quarter finals.
Our students displayed the school's values of good-natured and fair competition throughout the event, as they competed against other schools to dominate the high-tech sumo arena.
This tournament was the culmination of many hours of hard work, as students developed their engineering and coding skills, teamwork and resilience.
Today was not just a competition, but also a celebration of everything they have achieved.
At the end of the preliminary rounds, the teams left standing in each of the four arenas, played off for a place on the podium.
Five of our six Canterbury Roboneers teams made it into these quarter finals, with one team managing to finish in an admirable 4th place.
Congratulations to all the teams that participated in this spirited and fun event.

More Information
Our Canterbury College Young Business Leaders wish to invite you to an exciting upcoming community event and would appreciate your support!
The Beenleigh Chamber Beats is a FREE event that provides an opportunity for our students to begin publicly showcasing their start-up businesses, that they’ve been working hard on developing, as part of our BOP Program for student entrepreneurs.
Students are aiming to gauge market interest and demand, gather data through business surveys, showcase prototypes, and ask questions to our community members, to make relevant tweaks and improvements to their businesses and products.
There will also be an abundance of local talented secondary student performances across vocal, instrumental, dance and drama; plus plenty of food and drink stalls, and other entertainment on offer.
We encourage you all to come along and show your support in person on Saturday 3 June…
See you there!
