2024 End-Of-Year Chapel Service & Assembly | Canterbury Cup Champions Announced!
Yesterday on Thursday 28 November, our Prep to Year 11 students gathered for their 2024 End-Of-Year Chapel Service and Assembly - a chance to reflect on an incredible year filled with achievements, challenges and community spirit.
College Chaplain Father Dan Talbot shared an inspiring sermon, reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas.
He also thanked our amazing College community for donating so many gifts and toys to Anglicare Southern Queensland, ensuring more children in need will experience the joy of Christmas this year.
Father Dan emphasized that Christmas is more than just festivities — it's a celebration of Jesus Christ's birth.

Canterbury Cup Victory!
In an exciting 'year finale' announcement, Cranmer House claimed the prestigious 2024 Canterbury Cup, ending Ramsey House’s four-year winning streak.
This victory was a perfect send-off for Cranmer’s Head of House, Mr Alan Lyle, and Assistant Head of House, Mrs Rachelle Lee, as they prepare to step down from these roles next year.
Congratulations Cranmer House Wolves — your hard work, determination and team spirit has paid off.
As 2024 draws to a close, we thank our entire Canterbury Community — the students, staff and families — for making this year so memorable.

Yesterday afternoon Thursday 28 November, our Year 6 students marked a significant milestone as they transitioned from Junior School into our Senior School, with the popular Rite Of Passage tradition.
Our six Houses warmly welcomed their newest members with a formal parade onto the Senior campus, as the very last event for the 2024 Canterbury School Year.

Last night Wednesday 27 November, we acknowledged our Year 6 students in style at the 2024 Canterbury Year 6 Celebration Evening.
It was a special time for reflection, joy and anticipation as we looked back on their years in the Junior School, and prepared to support their next big step - heading through the gates into our Senior School...
The event was filled with special moments, laughter, thoughtful gifts, loud applause, choreographed dancing, delicious post-ceremony Poké bowls and drinks, plus plenty of cherished photos with family and friends.

Description: This Holiday Camp operated by experienced and qualified coaches, teaches athletics skills and fitness in a safe and fun environment, for beginners up to advanced participants, as they grow their love for sport while making new friends…
Perfect to package up with Canterbury’s OSHC Vacation Care children’s bookings.
Plus participants and their families can visit our Splash & Smash Café which serves hot and cold drinks, as well as various sweet treats, ice creams, crisps and savoury snacks.
Campus Facilities
- International standard 400-metre former Gold Coast Commonwealth Games running track.
- Long jump, high jump, triple jump, flop, hurdles, discus, shot put and javelin facilities and equipment.
- Large fully equipped change rooms with toilets, parent rooms, plus indoor and outdoor showers.
Course Features
- Concentrates on the rules and techniques of discus, shot put, vortex throws, jumps and sprints.
- Participants will also engage in drill games that help develop team friendships.
- Focuses on running techniques including middle-distance to sprints, block starts and finishes, tactical racing and hurdles; plus long jump, high jump, triple jump and flop; as well as discus, shot put and javelin.
- Participants will also engage in core sessions, speed and agility training, and plyometric sessions.
