Modern History

The diverse and innovative courses within our Global Studies faculty, nurture and extend students’ ability to think creatively, collaboratively and critically, along their journey to becoming ‘world ready’ citizens.

In all subjects, students work in real-world contexts, utilising an array of digital platforms and AI technologies, to grow in their knowledge, application and confidence.

Languages students

In the Humanities realm, students can investigate world-shaping historical events and important people, to better understand how today’s society came to be.

They can explore current legal issues confronting society and how Australia’s court system and levels of government function.

They can utilise geographical knowledge to ideate urban development, sustainable living and natural disaster solutions for the future.

And they can navigate moral issues while expanding their world view of different faith groups through studies in Religion and Values education.

We offer a suite of Languages including Spanish, French, Mandarin and Japanese, preparing students to become truly global citizens.

Learning an additional language has been scientifically proven to bolster a person’s cognitive ability, memory and attention span, while also strengthening students’ grasp of their first language.

It also fosters an appreciation of different cultures and builds empathy in understanding the experiences and perspectives of others.

Our range of authentic cultural exchange and immersion activities, as well as overseas tours, elevate and enrich students’ classroom learning experiences.

The diversity of Global Studies subjects ensures that we cater to a wide range of students’ interests and talents, broadening their education and future pathways.
