Goldsworthy House Service Initiative Builds Schoolwide Connections

In a heartwarming conclusion to the Goldsworthy House Service Initiative, Senior School students recently led a reading program that brought together students from across the campus.

Students from ELC to Year 3 enjoyed shared reading sessions with older peers, creating meaningful and memorable moments.

Senior students brought in their favourite childhood books, sparking conversations and storytelling with younger students.

The activity celebrated the joy of reading while encouraging older students to reflect on their early reading experiences and pass on that enthusiasm.

This final stage followed earlier connections between Form Classes and Prep-Year 1 students, which began late last term. The sense of connection, care, and engagement across year levels was truly inspiring.

I’m proud of how our students embraced the opportunity to build relationships, share stories, and enrich our school culture.

Thank you to our Junior School teachers, Mrs Gina McPherson (Teacher Librarian), Heads of Houses, Mrs Amanda von Kanel (Director of Student Development), Mrs Georgia Skinner (Assistant Head of Goldsworthy House), and Goldsworthy leaders for their support in making this initiative a success.
