Year 2 Excursion: Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum | Recap & Photo Gallery
Today, our Year 2 students embarked on an exciting educational adventure at the Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum.
This excursion was designed to enhance their Humanities and Social Sciences lessons, where they have been exploring the differences between life in the past and the present.
During the visit, students explored the village in small groups, immersing themselves in history through hands-on experiences.
Highlights of the day included live demonstrations of:
- An operational fire engine
- A working printing press
- The Loganholme ‘one teacher only’ school classroom
- Traditional blacksmithing techniques
It was a fantastic opportunity for students to step back in time and gain a deeper appreciation of history through interactive learning.
