Canterbury Theatre Company Shines Bright In 2024 Scene Project Spotlight!
Last night, our Canterbury Theatre Company students lit up the stage of our Performing Arts Centre with their 2024 Scene Project performance, captivating family and friends.
The Scene Project, run by Queensland Theatre, offers students more than just a chance to perform—it’s an incredible opportunity for students to dive deep into the creative process, learning how to turn a script into a live production.
From rehearsals to the final presentation, students gain hands-on experience in a professional setting, honing their skills in collaboration, interpretation, and live performance.
This year, they tackled Flowers in Antarctica by Wendy Mocke, a powerful piece where Whales and Orcas must unite against a foreign species threatening to take over Earth from the sea.
Through their performances, students explored themes of environmental change, conflict, and unity, all while showcasing their developing theatrical skills.
