2022 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup | FULL Results
From Monday 5 – Saturday 10 December 2022, we competed at the 2022 Australian Volleyball Schools Cup, held at various venues across the Gold Coast – including the Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre, Coomera Indoor Sports Centre, Carrara Indoor Sports Stadium and the Runaway Bay Indoor Stadium.
This tournament is the largest volleyball school-based sporting event in Australia, and sees a variety of Years 7-12 students travel from all across Australia and New Zealand to participate.
This year, 123 different schools competed, with 396 teams and over 4,000 athletes!
Our Canterbury Taipans Volleyball players gave it their best over the six days of competition, proving their worth against some formidable schools.
Congratulations to our students on their achievements:
- Year 12 Girls Division 1 – 2nd out of 7 teams.
- Year 9 Girls Division 3 – 3rd out of 7 teams.
- Year 12 Boys Division 1 – 10th out of 15 teams.
- Year 9 Boys Division 1 – 11th out of 25 teams.
