Come and meet our NEW Canterbury Head Swimming Coach Mr Simon Smith.

When: 5:15pm – 6:15pm, THIS Tuesday 4 October 2022 | Our first day back for Term 4.

Where: Aquatic Centre – Canterbury College.
– Via Sports Precinct Gate, 182 Old Logan Village Road, Waterford.
– With plenty of onsite parking at our brand new Aquatic Centre carpark!

Who: For ALL current Canterbury Swimming Squad members and their parents/carers and families. | For ALL Canterbury Junior & Secondary School students interested in taking up club swimming and their parents/carers and families.

Hosts: NEW Canterbury Head Swimming Coach Mr Simon Smith & Canterbury Aquatic Centre Staff.

  • Fully qualified and accredited Swimming Coach.
  • Over 25 years’ experience in Senior Swimming Coach roles in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Advanced Coach Accreditation Holder.
  • Performance Coaching Certificate.
  • Holds Levels 1 & 2 General Coaching Certificates from the Australian Coaching Council.
  • Holds Senior First Aid / Resuscitation Certificates, Aust Swim Teacher of Swimming Certificate, and Working With Children Blue Card.
  • Expert management of high-quality programs for all swimmers – from junior to the elite level, including Learn-To-Swim programs, and even training Learn-To-Swim instructors and swim coaching staff.
  • Has placed swimmers in National Squads, and various swimmers on the New Zealand National Age & Youth Teams to compete internationally, and swimmers attaining Australian & New Zealand National Championships and National records.
