2024 Canterbury College ANZAC Day Commemorations | Wednesday & Thursday 24-25 April @ Canterbury Events Centre & Beenleigh War Memorial
Thursday 25 April is ANZAC Day and each year we pay homage – not only to those original ANZAC soldiers, but to all those who have served our country in conflict zones.
They enrich our nation’s history and we honour their hope and sacrifice for the freedom of humankind.
We remember with pride their courage, their compassion, and their comradeship.
They served on land, and at sea, and in the air, in many places throughout the world.
Canterbury College recognises ANZAC Day in multiple ways, and there are some events we wish to advise our Canterbury Community about, and warmly invite them to attend…
What: 2024 Canterbury College ANZAC Day Commemorative Ceremony.
When: 1:15pm – 2:15pm, Wednesday 24 April 2024.
Where: Canterbury Events Centre (CEC) – Canterbury College.
– Entry via the Junior School Gate, High Road, Waterford.
Who: Formal Assembly For ALL Years 3-12 Canterbury Students & Staff | ALL Canterbury Families & Guests Invited.
Hosts: Canterbury College Executive Leadership Group.
RSVPs: Not Required.
Dress Code: Students – Formal School Uniform including Blazer for Senior School students | Families, Guests & Staff – Business / Smart Attire with Canterbury Community members encouraged to wear their family’s Campaign Medals (if applicable).

What: 2024 Beenleigh ANZAC Day March & Commemorative Service.
Date: Thursday 25 April 2024 Public Holiday.
When & Where:
Marchers Assemble From 9:00am @ Meeting Point – Corner Kokoda & York Streets, Beenleigh.
March Commences 9:30am and travels from Kokoda Street, through the centre of Beenleigh, and finishes at the Beenleigh War Memorial on James Street.
Marchers Arrive 10:00am @ Beenleigh War Memorial – Corner James & Crete Streets, Beenleigh.
Commemorative Service From 10:00am – 11:00am @ Beenleigh War Memorial – Corner James & Crete Streets, Beenleigh.
Who: ALL Canterbury Students, Staff, Families & Guests are most welcome to attend this public event.
Staff will be there to march alongside our students.
This event is not compulsory but large numbers traditionally and proudly represent our school on the day.
Hosts: RSL Queensland – Beenleigh Branch.
RSVPs: Not Required.

What: 2024 Beenleigh ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
When: From 5:30am Thursday 25 April 2024 Public Holiday.
Where: Beenleigh War Memorial – Corner James & Crete Streets, Beenleigh.
Who: This public event is open to the whole Logan community.
The ANZAC Ode
