Canterbury Represents @ 2022 South Coast Regionals: Pacific Districts Cross-Country Championships

Canterbury Represents @ 2022 South Coast Regionals: Pacific Districts Cross-Country Championships

Our students participated in the 2022 South Coast Regionals: Pacific Districts Cross-Country Championships over at Rivermount College on Tuesday 7 June.

I'm so proud of every single Canterbury Taipan who competed.

Despite the cold conditions, Canterbury cheered the loudest and supported each other, with many running for their first time at the Regionals!

The Rivermount College venue certainly didn't disappoint with their very muddy and traditional Cross-Country course as well.

Congratulations to the following students who made it through to the States:

⭐️ Finn Watt - 11 Years Boys 1st (Great finisher)

⭐️ Peter Flaherty - 11 Years Boys 1st - Multi Class (Kept the same pace throughout)

⭐️ Connor Toney - 12 Years Boys 3rd (Took a slide)

⭐️ Mia Chizzoniti - 13 Years Girls 6th (Ran in her socks for most of the race as her shoes are still buried somewhere along the course!)

⭐️ Sophie Webb - 14 Years Girls 4th (Miss Consistency)

⭐️ Jorja Lockhart - 15 Years Girls 6th (Ran a beautiful race)

⭐️ Eloise Stanley - 16 Years Girls 4th (Looked strong throughout)

⭐️ Georgia Grimsey - 17 Years Girls 2nd (Queen of the track)

A fabulous result for our Canterbury Taipans with many improving on last year's results.

Thank you to all the parents, coaches, athletes and especially to 'Mouse' for assisting me with the marquee!
